Lynx Lipo powered soldering iron Update
I got to use this little guy last week at our flying club. One of our members had a screw that had too much thread lock applied, and would not come out. So we decided to try and heat it up, which was a perfect test for the Lynx soldering iron. We plugged it into a 3s lipo, to get the full 90watts of power to heat the screw up. Let me tell you...this thing heats up FAST with a 3s battery hooked up to it. It only took about 45 seconds to get to full temperature and another 20 seconds to heat the screw enough to free it. I highly recommend this little iron, and I will never go to the field without mine from now on.
The only thing I don`t like about it, is that it comes with a Dean`s connector. But rather than change it, I just made an adapter to go from Deans to EC3.
